Do not take children over 10-14 years old there - they have only a child's course suitable for 5 - 7 year olds, boring for 8-14 year olds. Took my 10 year old granddaughter there for an end of holiday treat, thoroughly boring - $50 for two runs wasted - lady in charge rude and offensive. Had been thinking of having 10 children for her party there - not a chance
For adults the track looks like fun but for older children a waste of money

*Disclaimer* Sarcasm is employed when replying to false, misleading and nonsensical reviews written by those with an agenda because its 2021, we are literally living through a pandemic and we just don’t have the time or energy to expend on validating fake news and stupidity :) On that note, we always find it entertaining when the Karen’s of the world wield social media as a tool to enact revenge just because they didn’t get what they wanted… We can safely say that Staff are not rude just because they refuse to disregard the Venue’s safety policy, but for anyone needing a more detailed account of what staff had to deal with please keep on reading. Let’s set the scene…28 January 2021 was a grey, overcast and rainy day. There was heavy rain over night and on and off throughout the day it alternated between heavy rain and a drizzle. This meant that it was perfect conditions for a wet and slippery track, and not at all a great day for beginners to be testing their skills. Important Information for those reading along: 1. If a Child is under 18 only their Parent can their Waiver forms, if a Parent is not accompanying a child then the Parent will need to sign a Take Home Waiver; 2. We have two Go Karting Tracks, a Rookie Circuit for 8 – 14-year olds and a Pro Circuit for 15 and above; 3. We DO NOT put Rookies out on the Pro Circuit unless our staff have cleared them to drive on the Pro Circuit and in the event that they are cleared, it must be safe for the Rookies to drive and we must have availability to run a special Rookies only session (this information is displayed in Centre and on the Website, and is referred to as the Progression Program). It WAS a quiet and peaceful rainy day until a Seasoned Karen (The Grandmother) descended upon the Venue to take her 10-year-old Granddaughter Go Karting. The Mother of the Child had completed the Take Home Waiver, and as the Child was only 10, she was booked in for 2 races on the Rookie Circuit, with Karen as her onsite Guardian. The Child finished her first session on the Rookie Circuit and by all accounts seemed happy. After the first session had finished Karen stormed into the centre and interrupted a female Staff Member who was taking delivery of an order, to demand the Child be allowed to drive on the Pro Circuit ‘because no one is here’. The Staff Member tried to explain what the Progression Program was and informed Karen that the Child would not be able to drive on the Pro Circuit as the Child had not been cleared and in any event, it was not safe for a Rookie to drive on the Pro Circuit given the wet and slippery track conditions of the Pro Circuit. The Staff Member also confirmed with the Track Member who had run the race, that the Child had not been cleared for the Progression Program, as the Child was driving on a restricted speed and was not a capable or confident driver, but this information was disregarded by Karen. Karen was infuriated when her demands were not accommodated. Karen attempted to shout over the Staff Member and insisted ‘You are not listening, stop being rude and do what I am telling you, put her in a small kart on a restricted speed on the big track, there is no one here’. The Staff Member again tried to reason with Karen and explained that the Safety Procedures could not be disregarded just because the supervising guardian didn’t wish to follow the procedures in place, and under no circumstances was an unqualified junior going to have their safety jeopardised, especially in wet and slippery conditions. Karen was now well and truly enraged and did what all Karen’s do best and demanded to speak to a Manager, and tried to claim that: 1. The Staff Member was rude and condescending because she wouldn’t do what she was being told; and 2. It wasn’t raining; Karen also started taking the Lord’s name in vain as she was not pleased that she was not getting her way. The Staff Member informed Karen that as Senior Staff were away in a meeting there was no one else to speak with, as such her decision was final and Karen could choose to follow the Venue Policies and be polite and complete the remaining session or she could leave. (It’s worthwhile noting that after Senior Management were informed of what had occurred and reviewed the CCTV Footage they agree fully with the decision made by the Staff Member, as the Safety Policies are in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all Patrons and Staff and will not be deviated from.) Upon completing the remaining session, Karen made the executive decision to return to the front counter to shout at the Staff Member that: 1. The Staff Member was rude for not accommodating Karen; and 2. The Staff Member had cost the business $1,500 as Karen WAS going to book a Birthday Party for her Granddaughter, but now she would never return. The Staff Member chose to accept that reasoning with Karen’s is about as useful as reasoning with sleep deprived toddlers, and so let Karen have her little rant and be on her merry way. The Staff Member then got on with her remaining tasks for the day which now included having to write a report about the incident with Karen so that Management could review the report alongside watching the CCTV Footage of the incident. It’s important to note: 1. The Venue does not offer a Birthday Party Package for 10 children that would be $1,500; 2. The Venue reserves the right to not accommodate bookings if the Organiser refuses to follow the Venue’s Policies and cannot treat staff with a basic level of respect. So, it follows that Karen’s claims about loss of potential business are treated as dubious and not holding much weight and Karen’s claims are about as logical as her desire to endanger the safety of her granddaughter. In Summation. A Karen didn’t get her way and had a tantrum and then left a negative review. By all accounts the Child was pleasant and seemed to be enjoying her visit and only appeared to be upset when her grandmother was making a scene. It is noted that the Venue has a safety policy which everyone must follow, and this will not be deviated from no matter what threats are made or what reviews are left because at the end of the day the Safety of Patrons and Staff is what is paramount.

Whether there is one of you or a hundred, Luddenham Raceway will work for your event.

I have used the team, track and facilities at Luddenham twice this year for Corporate Product Launches, with outstanding success!

I can not recommend this venue more highly for Manufacturer model releases, or larger corporate groups. The track is superb and then you have the added bonus of Go Karts or Paintball for team building exercises.

However, the venue also is suited to and caters for small groups and even individuals as part of their organised drive days. And speaking of catering, make sure you try the traditional home made pizzas! sensational!

Best teenage family day out go karting at Luddenham Raceway. 4 year old track and just celebrated 1st anniversary of the larger racing track, opened by Alan Jones 1/11/18.

Great value at $160pp for 55
Min Grand Prix Go Karting, 5 min warmup, 10 min practise lap and 2x20min offical races. As a party we had the track to ourselves.

Party pizzas delicious and freshly baked.

Medal presentations and the like. Solid workout if you want to go fast. We will sleep well tonight!

Having done track days at some other locations in NSW I thought it time to visit Luddenham. This track may appear short but the corner combinations will mean you only rest on allow the front straight. The team on hand which runs the days is well organised and available to assist you when required. High recommend

Fantastic Facility Perfect for Work Gatherings
May 2019 • Business
I attended on Saturday evening as part of a very very late Christmas party for the office.

We all had an amazing time and were very well taken care of by the lovely staff there.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the cheerful girls at the front counter, who then directed us to our table and we then had the lovely pit crew brief us and direct us into the karts.

We couldn’t fault the location it was very well maintained. Everything is immaculate, the karts are all clean, in good working condition and staff are happy to change you out if you ask & nothing was too much trouble for them (we had to see for ourselves that it was actually Alex’s driving and not a faster kart hahaha).

Thank you to all the wonderful staff for making our day! We have been to a lot of different centres over the years and Luddenham by far blows the others out of the water with the great karts, amazing (and clean!) facility and lovely staff.

Thanks again everyone we will be back 😊😊😊

Worst customer, terrible facilities, unsafe and complete waste of money out of all the social Karting venues in Sydney.
May 2019 • Friends
This venue is getting worse and worse. Their prices have increased but the customer service is terrible. The karts are not safe or well looked after. The staff are indifferent and unprofessional. The facilities are bare and minimal. Despite having attended several times, I will not be returning. They placed and friend and I in 2 non functioning karts so poor that we had to change karts. My specific kart was wet, the seatbelts wet my clothes and had no brakes,it has a terrible exhaust leak and eventually I had to retire it. My friends Kart blew a tire!! So much time was lost trying to get into other karts that we only did 8 and 9 laps respectively. The pace we regularly run at we should be doing 14 to 16 laps (you can check what a decent pace is, I regularly run low 35`s). The staff didn't apologise, they didn't offer any help and we're not interested in hearing the situation. Instead the sent us away claiming I did 14 laps. All the others staff stood around or walked away. Again no help, no apology, not interested in hearing the customer. We had enough and I simply wanted get a refund. We queued inside, the counter staff spent a long time serving others, speaking with the other staff only to refuse a refund. I purchased 3 sessions this visit, but I have to give up the other 2 and simply will never return. All this and they have the audacity to increase their prices, but provide a worse experience?? I will make sure all my friends and colleagues, who also regularly Kart, are made aware of what a terrible and unprofessional dive this place has become. Do not waste time & money here. You get much better service and care at any of the other venues in Sydney.

Dear Chris, We note you made similar comments on Google Review so we weren't surprised to learn that our first negative trip advisor review was from you, or as you have chosen to describe yourself in the review title, 'Worst Customer'. 1. You claim to have “safety concerns” but continued to drive & only wanted a refund once you had finished. That’s a bit like eating a whole cheese pizza & then wanting your money back because you changed your mind & now want a burger. Your kart was replaced in less than 30 seconds when you pulled in claiming it was slow (no mention of brake issues) & then you went straight back out without another word. Your times were consistent with your lap averages. Your friend drove over a nail & his tire popped & his kart was immediately replaced. Unfortunately we do our best to check the karts at the end of every race & blow the Pits & Track but sometimes things just happen & when they do our handy dandy staff spring into action to fix issues ASAP. We don’t keep nails at the centre so most likely it dropped from someone’s pocket. Given that we can’t exactly strip search people before they drive you will need to forgive us for not having X-ray vision & not spotting a lone nail. It’s a most terrible oversight on our part & we will start lobbying for the right to be able to search and seize property that doesn’t belong at a go-kart track. I’m sure the public will support us in this endeavour :p It’s also worth noting that our on-site mechanic checked the karts over and apart from the nail were no issues (and the brakes were fine) ...we aren’t suggesting it could be driver error but we are open to possibilities. 2. No idea why you were wet. It wasn’t raining & you looked pretty dry in the CCTV footage & everyone else was dry so at a loss to explain that. It’s also the 1st we are hearing about it. Perhaps it was a freak rain cloud just over you. That can totally happen. 3. Over 100 people raced that night without an issue & left smiling. Including your friend who chose to take the solution offered to him and left with a smile. 4. Your main issue seemed to be that it was a busy night & you wouldn’t have the track to yourself...what can we say people just love Luddo! 5. Staff attempted to be polite and did offer their apologies including the girl on the front counter who tried to offer you a solution, apologised repeatedly & told you to just calm down & take a second to think about the solution to which you glared at her & took off out the doors after your friend said he was very happy to take the solution presented to him & enjoyed the rest of his evening. As you kept shouting that night “We have lost you as a customer” and to be honest we don’t mind as there are plenty of other lovely customers who made our night and filled the void left by you. We can assure genuine customers that our karts are safe and fun...just come and check us out and you too will leave smiling like the majority here tonight, including the friend of Mr Winter :)

I came with low expectations and left wanting to come back again soon
Apr. 2019 • Family
After my son (11) and I received a voucher for Karting as a combined Christmas present we were both disappointed when we found we would not be able to be on track together. HOWEVER, after my son went on the smaller rookie track he soon realised why this is done. Having never driven anything before he was grateful for the right level of challenge that the rookie circuit offered. The young chap that was looking after him was fantastic. He was clear with his instructions and took the time to provide feedback after my son's first effort.
The first 10 minute session was really good for my son to improve his confidence, then during the second (with the feedback) he was able to stretch his legs. I spoke with the young staff member (large shiny earrings!) who said that based on my son's ability to drive and his improvement, that next year he was welcome to come back and earn his right to drive on the bigger track.
My session on the big track was fantastic (I was concerned that my weight ~109kgs) would mean I wasn't competitive however the way the sessions are run, it is only yourself that you need to compete with (although it was very satisfying being able to overtake). I wish I could have known what my lap times were during the session so I could understand where I was able to gain time, it wasn't until later that my results were emailed that I could see each lap time. The karts had plenty enough power for the level we were at, as it was more about conserving momentum than the maximum speed that made a difference. The last corner (tight left hairpin) was a challenging corner with the tyres in place where I would have preferred to be able to run a little wider. I never felt like I got the perfect line for that one, but that was the beauty of the track, it had just enough to keep you pushing and finding that flying lap. I was very happy with my results and can't wait to come back and try again. (perhaps a crash diet might help my lap times as well).
NB: If using google maps from the Elizabeth road end, ignore it telling you to turn left early (wait until you see the

Slick operation, staff were helpful and friendly which made us feel welcome.

Hi and thanks for being an amazing supportive parent and working together with us here to help us give your child the best possible experience we can here at Luddenham Raceway. Thank you so much for your lovely review, it really does make our day when we get messages like this. The effort that our young staff put in here to help us provide this level or service, is rewarded with happy, amazing customers like you and your son. We love what we do and value and appreciate our visitors and guests. Thank you so much I will pass your comments on to the young staff here, although many of our "fashionable" staff have shiny earrings !!! Thanks quickymac you are welcome back anytime.

Definitely worth doing
Mar. 2019 • Friends
I've never done Go-Karting in my whole life before today and it has always been something I wanted to do (was on my bucket list). The overall experience was AMAZING however the price did bring it down slightly. Personally I thought $100 was a bit expensive for 3 trips round the course but I'm also a student. Got out the car and straight away heard the go karts and got excited like a 5yr old on Christmas day, the building was clean and tidy, staff were lovely and the overall excitement level was there. I went with just boys who wanted to the 3X 10mins packaged but honestly i would've been perfect with going just twice (i started to feel slightly queasy) but if you don't get sick then go 3 times round!! We were there for about 1.5 hours plus travel either side so was a good half day trip.

Definitely will be saving up and coming back here and doing it again. Thanks for having us :)

Hi Daks218 thanks so much for your review, glad you enjoyed it and we hope to see you back soon . We always recommend you kart on an empty or not too full stomach as some people are more prone to motion sickness and a full belly certainly dosent help. If you ever feel uncomfortable or unwell, just let us know you can always save your sessions for later too so don't hesitate to ask our staff for help any time you are here.
