Pili Village is popular with tourist for a reason, it gives a excellent feeling for a typical old village in the hills of Kos Island. It was our favorite place of all of the attractions on the island and so lucky to have had it...More

We had a hired car and drove to the 'old Pili'. It was a very hot afternoon and we didn't feel like climbing all the way up to the castle about 300 meters high! However, we did go for an interesting walk around the ghost...More

You have to climb (high stairs) for about 10 min, but the view from top (near snack bar) is outstanding. You will find some ruins here, but to be honest its nothing special.

It's a hot and tough hike/climb, but the end-view is worth it. Also, if you make it to the top, you'll be rewarded by an old man selling you some cold drinks ;) Btw, after the crazy man bird (or right after the parking lot)...More

The way to the castle is not well marked. You have to remember the ruins of the house of which pictures I uploaded. Then you enter the ruined house (the trail is not that visible inside the ruins) and behind the ruins there's a visible...More

The walk up to the ruins isn't too bad. We are two 20 somethings and walked up in flip-flops in about 5 minutes. You are greeted with a large area of ruins which you are free to roam. Keep your ear out for mountainy goats...More

"Old Pyli" as the locals call it is well worth exploring, sensible footwear as the tracks and paths are shared with mountain goats and tortoises

Great place to visit with the family. Its not to be confused with the modern village of pili, its 3km to the east. There's a turn before you reach pili but also a left turn when you reach the village. Once you get there there's...More

I recommend to visit this place in the evening, before sunset. First of all, it's not that hot during this time and second of all, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy sunset view from the top. Bear in mind, that you need to wear comfortable...More

The path is very steep and therefore would be difficult, you could drive to the cafe and get a good view but not access the castle ruins itself. Enjoy your trip

For a 2 Year-old absolutely not. For the 9 and 11 year old it will be a nice little adventure, but they do have to be careful. The path is steep and slippery.
