Mount Majura Vineyard is an dynamic boutique wine brand. The cellar door at Mount Majura Vineyard is set up to allow guests take their time tasting the wines by experiencing a seated wine tasting. Self guided ‘gumboot tours’ around the vineyard provide a more active option, allowing participants to learn more about viticulture. The vineyard is about 2 km from the northern end of the Majura Road, or about 9 km north from Canberra Airport.

Me and my partner spent a few days in Canberra and thought to take a trip to the winery. It was a great choice! Wine tasting: Amazing! The tasting included a lot of different kinds of wines, made from different grapes grown in different ways. The staff was really knowledgeable about it all and were explaining the processes in detail.... More

An extremely pleasant late afternoon experience. We sat in the April sun and slowly worked our way through the wine list. The staff brought around two bottles at a time to our table to taste and offered a friendly explanation. For $20 we bought a cheese tasting plate which was a wonderful accompaniment. We watched some roos on the edge... More

Friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, unpretentious host guided our group of wine tasting novices through the winery's current list. Sampled along side delicious tasting plates including local cheeses and meats. First time I'd had the opportunity to taste so many wines side by side but already feel like my nose and palate and general enjoyment of wine has benefited from our expert... More

Great intro to their wines but in the context of wines types from around the world. We picked two platters- one suitable for whites and one for reds nil local produce. Host was a lovely friendly person. Very welcoming. We were with visitors form U.K. who loved it. We will go back.

We were in Canberra visiting family, and one of our Australia tick boxes was to go to a vineyard. Mount Majura was 15 minutes away from Gungahlin where we were staying - and what a find it was. It was too hot to enjoy walking through the vineyard, but we did spot Chardonnay, the only wild roo we saw during... More

family visit. Made to feel very welcome. We went for a walk around the vineyard despite it being 34 degrees. It was well worth it for the views and photographs. We then spent over an hour tasting various wines, alongside a cheese platter. Staff were knowledgable and helpful and we did not feel rushed. It was good to visit a... More

Visited with an overseas friend - did the wine tasting & had some platters - sparklings were suprising especially the non-preservative one, shiraz & dinny's block were top quality. Staff knowledgeable. Fun afternoon

What a tremendous little find so close to the centre of Canberra. Thoroughly enjoyed a lazy afternoon with friends, enjoying the view and working our way through the tasting list. The staff were fantastic, knew what they were talking about and were patient with our questions. I bought a mixed dozen to enjoy over the holidays and came back a... More

This was a lovely way to spend an afternoon. The vineyard is located a short 20 min drive from the CBD. It is a small boutique estate producing some excellent wines. The service was great and the staff knowledgeable and friendly. We had a lovely and generous cheese platter ($20) to accompany our tasting. After tasting you can buy wine... More
