Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Locate alongside the "Transfagarasan" mountain road (otherwise know as DN7C) , the Capra Waterfall is a landmark along a a landmark road.
The view is spectacular, altitude is 1650 m, the height of the waterfall is about 35 m , in the summer the amount of water is not so impressive but when the "Transfagarasan" opens early in the season is more water and the waterfall more spectacular.
Pity is so accessible - graffiti stain the rocks of the fall itself ... shame (I will not understand this behavior ) - and is good that is so accessible cause you can take some nice pictures.
Neat the waterfall you shall find some booths with local goods and souvenirs - pricy as you won't believe - but if you must get something , the options are there.
Beware the cars stopping randomly- some times my fellow countryman don't really care if they block the road or stop hazardously ... so beware.
Overall a great spot to stop along the "Transfagarasan" so I recommend you plan for this.

It is truly a brilliant place, make sure you budget
plenty of time for it. Not only will you not be able
to move very fast but you will also want to stop at
least three or four times.
As a driver you will enjoy it but beware cars that are lowered or too stiff may not have too good a time.
Along the way there are picnic spots, local joints for food and snacks (not exactly cheap tho') and amazing sights.
o plan for it, you can not regret it.

Capra (Goat) Waterfall, named after the lake from which flows, is a wonderful natural attraction in Fagaras mountains, accessible from DN 7C (Transfagarasan). The car can be parked at Balea Cascada or at Balea Lac, in the latter case considering the cable car down to Balea Cascada.
The hiking consists only in climbing (and descending in order to return) and starts from Balea Cascada. One way is no more than an hour of slow walking, the second half or the path proving indeed very steep. However, it is a forest hike, so there are plenty of trees and roots you can rely on, though mountain footwear should be considered.
For a complete success, you should use only the marked trail (a red point in white circle), since alternative unmarked paths are certainly more difficult and may lead you off the waterfall track (at least for the first time).
The waterfall is about 40 meters high and has a considerable flow capacity. There is a whole wall covered with water running in multiple streams, making a great and rewarding scenery. The trail ends exactly in front of the waterfall, so you can photograph it in many angles. The only issue may be that it faces north, so there won't be so much sun on it.
Of course there are some other trails in Fagaras mountains, but this one is mandatory and not so hard to do.

On our way up to the Balea Lake had some stop for photo sessions and drink some water... Approximately after a km or two after the Cascada Capra on our way up we have some of the best water ever. On the left side of the road there is a constructed pipe to take the water and it is really worth to stop.

Very beautiful waterfall. Will need to hike about 30 minutes to get to the waterfall but I really enjoyed this "small hike". Will need good shoes (hiking shoes if possible) and be prepared because it is not just walking, you will need to climb (210m elevation). Hold on, the reward waits you at the end: the waterfall. ;-)
