It's nice enough but not a world beater. You will see it because you are driving the Transfagarasan so stop and have a look if you can find a parking spot.

This place is worth stopping at to take a few pictures but finding parking could be hard. The view is just breath taking and beautiful.

Well it's a symbol of the humans power. Try to turn into the gravel road right after the dam and drive for a few kilometers. This road will present you some fascinating views.

The dam offers some okay views of its surroundings, but otherwise it's nothing special. It's better to focus more on the other parts of the highway, especially those at a higher altitude.

The whole area is impressive , the mountains ...the lake... you can have a boat tour guided, also the area offers a lot of possibility for bike ride tour or hiking.

The dam is one of the highlights of the Transfagarasan Highway. There are several spots to park near the spillway and food vendors of course as one comes to expect.

This is the Dam seen in Top Gear. A fantastic monument with epic views both sides. Worth nipping out the car to take a look.
