Great place to learn history and acustics

Amazing place full of history. Peaceful place if compared to monuments in Athens. Great to visit in a place where medicine was invented!

I almost skipped this part of the trip for the sake of time. I am glad I didn't. The Theatre is amazing to see and amazing to speak in with your partner at the top. The acoustics are a marvel. Even on a cool, wet day it was an experience.

Fantastic and huge amphitheater of Epidaurus is a sight to see...2000+ years baking in the Greek sun has preserved this marvel to its current splendor. Walk to the last/top row to really get to realize the actual expanse of the venue, the acoustics must have been awesome. Most impressive amphitheater in Greece.

Few places will make you more humble than standing at Epidaurus Theater looking out on the landscape and the beautiful ruins.

The entire area of Epidaurus was most interesting. It was initially a medical facility specializing in psycho-medicine. Many buildings for the sick and their families, since someone had to act as nurse. The Theater was part of the treatment, meant to relax the patient and put their minds at ease. The facility, as well as the Theater, could house 10,000... More

The theater was incredible – definitely one of the most moving sites I’ve seen! They still give live performances here in the summer, so maybe I’ll plan to attend one of those in the future. At this point, a bus full of obnoxious college students had arrived, and they were testing the theater’s acoustics with bird calls. I finally got... More

After traveling all over Greece and seeing many of the ancient sites, the theatre at Epidaurus is arguably the most awe inspiring and magnificent - an absolute marvel of the ancient world which was an honour to visit.

it is an old theater. but it is still used in summer time as a tourist attraction. Everyone should visit this place during the tour in Athens.

Even if you've visited it before, a second visit will always be rewarding. The superb acoustics as well as the very well preserved construction, contributed to the creation of Epidaurus Festival S.A., an institution that contributed to the cultural revival of the theater. Visit the museum and the rest of the archaeological site.

The theater's acoustic is amazing! Even without absolute silence, you can hear a falling coin or someone at the top of the theater, whispering. Stunning and unrepeatable monument.
