We have gone whale watching several times, but this was our first time going with The Pacific Whale Foundation. The onboard naturalist helped spot the whales and gave us much information about the humpback whales and their yearly migration. We saw many whales, but the highlight was a mother and her calf. The baby was young and just learning to... More

We went on this cruise tonight and it was amazing. I've always wanted to see a whale and we saw tons of them tonight. We had a talk by the founder of this organisation and he introduced us to the near extinct humpbacks which they've helped get up to nearly 20,000 over the last 50 years - what an achievement!... I return to Maui every year in February to view and photograph the Humpback Whales. When visiting Maui, it's fun to volunteer, to give back in this paradise. Each February, on the Saturday of President's Day Weekend, Whale Day is celebrated in Line I. Sponsored by the Pacific Whale Foundation, the event features a keiki whale parade, tasty island food,... We had a blast! Definitely recommend going on the ocean odyssey. Very organized excursion, examples: lifeguards on surfboards during the Snorkel, wetsuit rental on board, staff is in sync with one another if we saw a whale they would quickly know and slow down the boat. Very knowledgeable too they continuously shared information about whales, the coral, the marine life.... More

We have gone on your 9 a.m. whale watch a number of times and have always been very satisfied. This time it was quite windy, but the captain tried his best to get us out of the wind and we did have a very good "watch" of a mother and baby performing their antics for quite awhile.

Great narratives and sincere efforts to find whales. The check-in was easy and the shop has lots of good souvenirs.

My family went whale watching with the Pacific Whale Foundation. It was a wonderful adventure. The food was delicious and the staff were great. I learned lots about whales that I didn't know. It was a nice and relaxing 3 hour adventure. There were lots of whales breaching the water and few even jumped out of the water. It was... More

Wonderful relaxed way to view whales. Pacific Whale Foundation knows the area well and staff does their utmost to find the whales and inform passengers about their habits and activities.

We took the PWF's "Ocean Spirit" boat which was smaller than some of the others and perfect for us. The captain and entire crew were so knowledgeable about the whales and all the marine life and are clearly dedicated to making sure they are still here for us to enjoy. We had the amazing experience of being "mugged" by a... More
