I always go to museums everywhere I go. I find them interesting experiences regardless of the contents. The museum is a building on a corner in the town centre, not that easy to spot. Entry is cheap but I was told it was only for...More

It is a kind of our ritual to visit an archaeological museums and sites when we are aboroad. So, this is a small but exhaustive enough and deserving to visit place.

This museum has some interesting exhibits from the local area, which helps illustrate the rich Georgian culture. If you are interested in gold jewellery, medieval books and armour than I would recommend a visit here. The museum opens at 10 and doesn’t have an outward...More

Amazing collection especially from prechristian Kolkhic times and very knowledgeable museum guides. The Museum still lacks sufficient funds to set all the artifacts as needed but presented material is extremely interesting. A real mind blowing stories come from the museum guides.

The museum is rather small, but worth visiting. Especially, since fee is really cheap. It walks you through history of the region and lets you understand it a little better.

Interesting programm if you can do only indoor activities. The entry fee is quite cheap. You can find mostly religious things inside.

The museum is not very big and the part we saw was mostly orientated to archeology and ethnography, but it is worth the visit - you will at least know the story of the region from the ancient times until today.
