The Monastery is situated in a very impressive landscape. The pictures taken were impressive. The Monastery is very well preserved. A trip in Kutaisi surrounding areas that no one should miss

Very nice cathedral, a 5-10 min walk from a small parking lot down the hill (this the road back will be a steep uphill). Premises are nice and tranquil if there are few visitors. A good view down the canyon from the hill.

Motsameta Monastery is an amazing place to visit!!This monastery is high in the mountains and a beautiful site when you get there. The church is beautiful. Every visit impress me as like it is my first visit.

Walk from the parking place is around 5 min. Nice to make pictures from this place from the area. When you are in kutaisi you should visit this place.

Small, quiet, monastery high up above the river, wtih beautiful views and peaceful surroundings. A must see in Kutaisi.

Hi. I can't answer you to your question, as I was going with locals there. Its around 10 km to Gelati and closer to Motsameta (to one way taxi could cost approx. 5 lari). You can take a marshrutka in a city center to Gelati... More
