Hidden box office

We couldnt work out how to get tickets as doors locked and no website. A kind dancer we met at back of building( stage door?) Took us to box office which is small kiosk to right of main entrance. No english sign. Tickets 5 gel for an amazing orchestra and selection of european opera favourites. Theatre full of Georgians dressed up in finery and a handful of tourists not dressed up! Highly recommended if you get the chance. Tourist office will tell you what's on.

Under reconstruction

As the Opera building had bern under reconstruction for some time now, all you can do is to have a look at the building from the outside and check the relief on the side facade and sculptures on the rooftop.
