WE arrived in Gaspe via the south coast, a long drag of sub-urban houses with not much to recommend them. We left via the north coast. Big green spaces with lovely views between the villages with interesting things like the vertical wind generator photo and...More

I really enjoyed our stop at the Eole Cap Chat. I learned a lot about wind turbines :) The climb however was a spectacular experience, well worth the effort to get to the view from the top. A special nod to Jean-Raphael, our very knowledgeable...More

Though the Eole Cap-Chat is certainly worth a visit if you’re passing by, it’s basically a spectacularly huge and beautiful but broken (and apparently not worth the high cost of fixing) wind turbine, with no visitors center or other amenities - not even toilets. A...More

It's nice to be able to get so up close and personal with these huge wind turbines. Gives a new appreciation for them. And up close (besides the size) they are surprisingly loud. Easy to miss the little sign off the 132, so watch for...More

Nice place, Nice subject. A thing you never saw before. But our guide must have been an old teacher or she wants to convert us to Wind energy so much that in the end it was a bit annoying. 2 hours is too long for...More

I expect most visitors here are somewhat technically inclined so I was foremost disappointed at our guide's inability to coherently answer even some basic technical question about wind turbines. The introductory video was very basic and displayed on a 12" TV. The visuals used on...More
