Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Piles of rocks on the beach. Parking was a bit of a pain as there were a number of cars and you had to turn right to the other side of the road if you’re coming from cairns. Nothing too exciting but a good stop for photos.

Got some reason people started piling rocks on top on one another leading to this interesting‘installation’. Worth stopping for a look!

Our two boys absolutely loved stopping at these rocks, they had to build the biggest one on the rock wall!
Its such a lovely thing to see as your driving along that lovely road to PD.
Great spot to stop at.

Hate to be the one to burst your bubble but this lovely beach looked just fine before the rock stackers got to work. Wasn't Mother nature good enough?

So cute! Definitely worth a stop over. We missed it the first passing and remembered to stop the second. Made our own little stack.

Curious place along the beach. There’s really no history behind except that after one person stacked some rocks, other passerbies followed. Good photo content just the same.

Great photo ops. Not worth a whole trip but if you're driving between Port Douglas and Cairns, perfect to take pics and make your own mark.

Funky place worth the stop on way to cairns, build your own tower and admire several other master pieces then swim at Ellis beach

Great fun spot for exploring along the road. Quirky stacks of rocks which makes for unique photos. My teen daughter and her friend had fun making their own stack.
