This marvelous Feodorovsky Cathedral is located in Alexander Park, just opposite the Martial Chamber( where is settled Museum Russian in World War I). Such beauty of colors, shapes, designs of one edifice, in front of which I stood just stunned. Our guide took us here on our way to Catherine's Palace. As he is a Pushkin local, we let him show us the way and were so glad that he took us to this small but moving church. Nicholas II and his family favored Alexander Palace over Catherine's Palace and had this church built, near Alexander Palace and attended service... More

We stopped first at the Feodorovsky Cathedral, a white stucco church with a green dome. The last tsarina and her young children had worshiped there. Although it looked 17th Century or older, the church was built in 1913. The interior had two levels. when you got the time get inside. even after a day of imperial splendour inside tsarskoye selo estate, which can be an overdose. it's nicely renovated. nicholas II and his family went on services here as well.

If you wish to visit just one Cathedral in St. Petersburg, this should be the one. But it is not for the masses and the hordes of camera toting tourists and Chinese.
