This is one of the must see when you are in St. Petersburg I recommend you to have a guide to tell you about the history to correlate with the display and the rooms. The amber room is amazing

Catherine’s Palace is beautiful, both the interior and exterior including the grounds. I was very impressed with every room we walked through and of course the famous Amber Room. The history was very interesting. We booked an excursion through our ship and glad we did.

Catherine's Palace is a must see palace when visiting the St. Petersburg area. Gold trimmings in most rooms was a wonderful sight. Room after room brought a different look. The Amber Room was outstanding and beautiful. Very enjoyable afternoon of sightseeing!
