We were in Samana at the end of March during the 2nd last trip out for the season. Unfortunately we did not see any whales. However, Kim and Crew were unbelievable. The water was very rough and they were very well equipped to deal with passengers who were experiencing sea sickness. They offered free passes to come again so we... More

This was a perfect whale-watching trip. Of course, the whales made it worth it - but we were on a good boat, with great staff. Between free bottled water and anti-seasick wristbands it was apparent from the start that they knew how to work with tourists. I worry about taking my two year old son on long excursions, but for... Worth the trip to the DR alone - we had a brilliant day on the 20th March whilst staying at the Cayo Levantado - we booked through Thompsons and it was worth every penny.

Just like watching any wildlife, it takes a little patience and luck. I'm guessing we saw about 20 whales including a five-minute long tail-slapping by a female (apparently calling for other males because she didn't want the present one). Due to this show, we stayed out a little longer. Kim and her naturalists were very informative; and the crew were... More

Went on 4 Whale Watching trips, each with Kim Baddell and Whale Samana. The real hi light of my holiday. Seeing Whales, Dolphins and Turtles in their natural habitat Is the only way to enjoy them. Kim was very informative and clearly passionate about whale conservation. The crew really took care of the guests, supplying sea sickness relief if required.... More

Kim and her whole crew deserve a huge round of applause, this was an amazing experience, recommend it to everybody!! We had the outrageous good fortune to see a baby, its mother, an escorting male and finally a rival male arrived! WOW, what more could we ask for?! Thank you very much Whale Samana, y'all were top notch professionals....
