The place is supposedly a sort of a peace remembrance between Japan and the Philippines, both countries engaged in a war from 1941 to 1944. Anyway, the park is not well maintained and has become a sort of a place where poor couples who could not afford hotels choose to fornicate here instead at night. Despite all these, the park... This historical place has been well known for young couples hiding in the bushes and doing some dirty deeds. Its a shame because it destroys the beauty of the place. I hope there will be changes and more security in this place soon.

Nothing to see here except a loads of young couples making put in the overgrown grass. Very disappointing, I don't know why this is listed as something to see. There is a statue, in the long grass.

Now this was a weird place, for some reasons. By the time I came here, I was intrigued with the name of the statue, how Japan got involved, and what was the purpose of erecting such landmark in this part of the Visayas. The place was old but there's something in there that will make you wonder, ask, and think,... More

This is in the grounds of the city hall. Overall the ground are very nice and are a very pleasant place to walk around. This section however is run down and overgrown compared to the very well manicured rest of the grounds. the explanation behind the madonna has been spray painted with nationalist graffiti. The madonna itself is interesting as... More

Took the Bicycel from yellow Doors Hostel this time . Splendid auras at dawn . Just a tad bit of litter from the weekend unfortuately - most especially plastic wrappers . The LGU should cover this . it was a good meditation point .

The name is very interesting. The history of the place is amusing. One can't escape the interesting background of this place and have a smile. What ever may be the history, this is one of the most peaceful place to sit, enjoys sea breeze and relax!
