About
An ancient millstone at the foot of the Etna Mount, which belongs to the Castiglione di Sicilia Municipality and the fraction of Rovittello, has undergone a patient restructuring and recovery by the Fischetti Family, whose aim is to restore the old charm. The enclosed vineyard is situated around 650 metres from the sea level. The traditional sapling plantation allows the exclusive manual workmanship throughout the year. Our plantation is composed exclusively by indigenous vines of the Etna Mount, which are 80 years old on average, and which present numerous ultra centennial subjects of the pre-phyloxera period; these are the roots for the Etna’s D.O.C. production (high quality wines). Our motto represents the taste and the quality derived from one of the most beautiful territories in the world, which is, since 2013, a worldwide UNESCO heritage. Our mission is to extract the best of what we dispose, and having an important experience in the field of Etna D.O.C., we point at offering something to remember and not just a mere momentary pleasure; simply an authentic and proper fragment of an admirable volcano.

What an amazing surprise!
Oct. 2020
I was looking for a place around Etna to tour a vineyard and taste some local wine with my American boyfriend. I have to say, the vineyard is AMAZING. The ivy growing all over the house is spectacular, the garden is insanely beautiful... everything was so beautiful. I have recommended it to all of my engaged friends for their weddings. Talking about the wine, we did the tasting with six glasses, which included bottles of red, white and rosé. Everything was perfect. Daniela was our hostess and she was extremely kind and well versed. We ended up buying several bottles of wine and we definitely gonna order more. Highly recommended if you want a taste of the real espressione del territorio of Sicily!

A Charming Vineyard Escape near Etna

Came for the wine, loved it for the experience (and the wine). Ruggero is very knowledgeable about the estate - one of the best wine tours we have been on. The farmhouse is absolutely beautiful, and you can’t put a price on the Sicilian sunshine. A must see!

Amazing Etna wine experience!
The place is absolutely incredible, an ancient vineyard hidden into Etna. Wines tasting were fulfilling and satisfying with a lot of variety and top excellent quality, food also included perfect quantity for a wine tasting. Owners both sommeliers, kind, polite and with a lot of experience and skills, they showed us the vineyard explaining the history and letting us dive into the magnificent tastes of all the colors of Fischetti🍷⁩wines which are the expression of the surrounding territory.
Last but not least the little puppy (Neo) super cute and super adorable!

A Fantastic Experience

We had the pleasure and privilege to visit this wonderful winery on the north side of Mt Etna. The vineyard tour, wine tasting, and delicious lunch were a highlight of our Sicily trip. The Fischetti team is creating special wines that are finely crafted and authentic to the region. Cannot wait until my order of the red and white wines arrive. Kudos to these wonderful people!

Our hotel booked us for an intimate visit here. They have 3 acres and produce limited amount of wine.
The tasting was 40 euros and tried 3 wines, white, rose and red, all very good.
It came with plate of cheeses, meat, olives and tomato salad.
The wine making room is unique and has an antique press and the grandmother Amalia Tomaselli paintings on the wall.

We toured the beautiful surroundings, and then went to the main tasting room where there was an original wine press. The wine was so delicious. This is a definite stop if you are in the area.

What a great visit we had to the winery. The drive from Messina takes a bit over an hour, but the views along the way and the small towns you pass thru make it a pleasant trip. The Family has brought these old vines and the whole facility back to a beautiful life.

We visited after a tour of Mount Etna and it only made a great day even better. The grounds are beautiful and the wine is wonderful. The pairings of food-- meats, cheeses and vegetables--- with the four wines was absolutely perfect. Truly a memorable experience that I highly recommend.

If you love wine and the history of wine on Mount Etna, you cannot miss Fischetti

This was the third stop on our wine tour and easily our favorite. A stroll through the 60+ year old magnificent vines with the owner to a fantastic light lunch and amazing wines was an experience we will never forget. The owners spent 7 years revitalizing this vineyard and the love they have for wine making is very apparent. We appreciated the time they spent with us and hope we get to have their vine shipped to us when we get home. And as a bonus, we tried honey on some cheese and it was out of this world!

This Really is a treat !

If you are a wine buff, just believe the reviews, when in Sicily, add to your travel treats and go! This is not to be missed. So much passion and enjoyment is put into their wine and it comes across in every word and attention to detail, presented by the husband and wife owners.
Of the three wines in the tasting our 2014 White, light, crisp and elegant was superb was the pick of the three. The Rose, still young, is pleasant with a unique taste and colour all of its own. A smokiness alongside the orange-red flavouring and colour. Strong in alcohol at 14% but definitely one that is different and to be enjoyed with an acquired taste.
The Red 2011 again full of flavour, 13.5%, and somewhat different, lighter than many of the excellent heavier reds available from Etna DOC, but never the less having a quality and sharpness that makes pleasant drinking. Their 2012 vintage may well be the one to savour which at a hefty 15% is looking to compete with the heavy brigade.
A very informative tour of the vine yard, an insight into the seven year resturation of what was described as an 'ancient' Winery of the 1800's all followed by an excellent tasting accompanied by wonderful Itallian foods. Two very nice and hospitable people with a real passion for what they are producing, developing and making a real success in their own niche way.
Take the first opportunity you have to visit Fischetti a treat to behold!
