Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This service is very cheap for Zanzibar. We used it three time and the driver was always ponctual and helpful. Can take a bit time to get an answer via What's App but if you're not in a hurry and book the day before or so, it works fine.
FYI; the transfer from Airport to Nungwi and from Nungwi to Stone Town tooks between 1.30 and 2 hours depending on the number of clients.

We used the shuttle twice. From Stone town to Jambiani. The driver was there on time. We had to pick up other people and drove to jambiani with a stopover to drop the other ones. It took around 2 hours.
The second time we were picked up early. He should come around 17.30 but he was ready around 17.00! He was a fast driver and in an 1 hour at the AirPort!
Great service!
And so much cheaper than all the other taxi drivers!!!

Zanzibar shuttle was a great and very affordable way to get around the island. I used Whatsapp to communicate with them and it was a very easy way to make arrangements. The bus was clean and air conditioned and very comfortable. The shuttle was about a half hour late each time they picked me up so I would definitely factor in some additional buffer time if you need to be somewhere on time. Otherwise great service!

Booked a week in advance and received confirmation straight away. Online it showed an 11am departure as the only option which I selected. At 8pm the night before I received a WhatsApp message to ask if my booking was from Nungwi- Paje at 2pm. I replied that it was Matemwe-Paje at 11am. They responded asking could they make it 2pm which I said was no problem. I was in the lobby at 2pm, at 2.30pm I messaged to ask what the ETA was. The message was delivered and read but ignored. At 3pm I called, it wasn't answered. At around 3.15pm I gave up and made plans with my hotel for a private taxi transfer. As I loaded by bags into the taxi the shuttle arrived. I cancelled the taxi and took the shuttle bus.
The driver was great, very friendly and chatty. He showed me the itinerary he had been given. The company had scheduled him to be in Nungwi at 2pm and another hotel 30mins away also at 2pm. They had said 2.30pm at my hotel in Matemwe which is physically impossible.
Realistic scheduling and means of getting in touch with the driver and not just the company (which didn't respond anyway) would make this service great. As it is it's unreliable and frustrating.

By far the best way to get around the island. Affordable, convenient and safe. For comparison taxi from Stonetown to Nungwi would be in origin of $50-$60 with the shuffle you pay a fraction of that.We had driver called Ali that knew the island on the back of his hand,he was always on time to pick us up with a smile and went above and beyond to get us to our destination safely.I also found the communication with the booking office great, responsive and willing to help.
Thanks Zanzibar shuttle! Thanks a million,Ali!

So we got a flyer from the shuttle worker and actually decided to use the service in Nungwi to get to Stone Town. Sent an e-mail and got a quick response that all is well - be ready tomorrow, 20 minutes before 10.00 in front of your hotel.
Next day we waited and waited, nothing happened. Called to their phone that was listed on the webpage - nothing! Tried gsm network, whatsapp, even sent an e-mail to the same address from where we got a quick response last time - nothing! Managed to get another taxi using one local guy's contacts in the end. Embarrassing!

Used it 3 times, once we changed the car in the middle of the road. It was unsafe and car was working. Second time i waited 3 hours for pick up from agreed time, and third time they did not show up or answer the phone. Terrible experience.

This shuttle service was our “uber” of Zanzibar. They offer a professional, cheap (10$ per person for any travel in the island) and very practical service. You can book the shuttle through their WhatsApp number (visible on their website).
It is basically a shuttle that goes over the island at certain times. So you only need to book the day before. From our experience, they were very flexible and could change their fixed hours for us a few times.
Airport to Bwejuu costed 10$ Per person instead of around 50$ by taxi.
Knowing how expensive are normal taxis in the island, I would definitely recommend using this service as much as possible.

Nice and efficient shuttle. The guys are nice and help you if needed. The price is more than fair for the island.
