DRIVE THROUGH CBD TO TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS IN SEA POINT BEYOND SUNSET TIME
Dec. 2019 • Family
Driving around in Cape Town at night feels to me like I am watching nightlife happening from a distance than that I am A blend of it...

Driving at night (this is a way back way back REM), I am amazed that we can analysis where a place is. However, on the sunrise and of course during the day, the magic of driving through LIT up streets and viewing the lights...is way different an experience!

I guess not many Capetonians take the time to drive down the streets around the CBD unless it is festive season? Well, I do!

Then my teens and I snapped these photographs in SEA POINT BEYOND SUNSET TIME

Nice beach
Mar. 2020
There appears to be some confusion on the Trip Advisor blog. Is it Sea Point or Cape Point? The map marker shows Sea Point.

The beach where the marker is is really nice, but very rocky in places. No life guard, so take care. Also, as with other beaches on this section of coast, there is a lot of kelp, so swimming is not great.

The love for nature
Dec. 2019
I just loved sitting on the benches along the beach walk and see how the tides change and the waves toss to and fro. It is always clean and you can just enjoy the beach on any stretch of it.

Great to visit

If you’re here then you must go Cape of Good Hope. It does seem that everyone has to have a photo. You need to wait but if you go later you can get a photograph no problem.
On route we came across a number of ostriches and their young. Which was lovely to see.

Tranquil
Dec. 2019
After experiencing the mobs at Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope it was a joy to get away from them (coaches can't get down here) and experience the peace and quiet of this lovely bay. The seawater pool was set in a beautiful spot and there was plenty of space for quiet sunbathing. Highly recommended.

Cape Point Highest View
Apr. 2019 • Couples
It's an excellent top of the world sort of view when you reach the topmost point either by steps or cable train. It's really a breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other side.
The former ocean has warm water and the latter very cold water and this is actually a wonder of the world in one of Almighty's many creations

Beach Clean up needed
Apr. 2019 • Solo
It's heart breaking to see this area deteriorate over the years. There are cigarette butts galore, plastic bottles, fast food containers, general garbage, even used condoms about. One cannot take a step without seeing trash on the shores here. The sea creatures are disappearing but it is still a favorite place for many to visit. I still love Sea Point. I just wish people would respect the ocean more.

Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful
Oct. 2018 • Solo
Sea point is one of the most beautiful areas in Cape Town where the sea borders the land and has many high rise apartments and lovely buildings on this stretch really really beautiful place ....
There is a walk for easy access to the beach or just a casual evening stroll..
A definite see or stop for refreshment at one of the restaurants.

Date night Promenade walk - Sea Point, Cape Town
Oct. 2018 • Couples
Since the rain stopped, hubby and I have been starting our weekly date night with a walk/ run on the Sea Point beach Promenade. The Promenade is a paved pathway that stretches from the V&A Waterfront to Saunders Rock Beach. This pathway is a safe way of keeping fit. Paved and surrounded by open grassways, parks and artists exhibits that are placed along the route. Pedestrians, runners, walkers and cyclists share the pathway. The main road is lined with luxury apartments and accommodation as well as restaurants and fast food cafes. The view while you are on the pathway is out of this world,Table
mountain on the one side and the ocean and a glimpse of Robben Island on the other side.
A person can get lost in time easily while using the Promenade. Other activities are ; a putt-putt( mini golf) course, a mini maze and a mini train ride amongst other things. The award winning swimming pool is also an attraction and a must-see. There are toilets along the way and be sure to carry coins for tips for the cleaners or entrance/ levy.
The grass can also be the place to enjoy a picnic but is also shared with dogs.
A bike rentals option is available and no booking required.
