Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The road leading to the park is suitable only for off-road cars. I had a bad experience with my Nissan Sunny LX as the road was steep and in bad condition. Although the trip was worthy as the forest gives the visitor a very good impression- of being close to the real nature. It is worth taking this trip, especially in spring time or the hot summer months.

The national park is absolutely beautifull and great for hiking. It is not so dramatic as the peaks of the balkan but the green nature is a good reason to visit this mountain area of Albania. In spring it is beautifull (so we were told) but in summer it is way too hot for hiking. Still, you can visit the Lengarices gorge in the south and hike that in August for the full extension of 6km. A great great hike and one you can only do in summer. The rest of the year the gorge is flooded.

The Fir of Hotova National Park is also known as the Lungs of the South for its incredible array of trees and wildlife! The park is home to Alipostivan, a Bektashi Tekke with panoramic views of the mountains and Greece, and the village of Frasher, an important cultural landmark with a lovely museum.

Driving through the National Park is like entering a sea of trees in the mountains. There are springs with crystal clear water, charming cabins for picnics, and many other attractions. But the roads aren't completely paved, so it's a good idea to enter the park with a heavy-duty vehicle or with a local driver. The park is also great for hiking if you have a good GPS system or a local guide!

Quite a remote area with dirt roads and Ottoman bridges. In the Canyon of the Vjose river near the Greek border three hot springs, no utilities, no restaurants, very primitive but nice

Probably the best place to be if you want to explore the forest and wild animal. The people are friendly and the trees are so close to one another. We had a great time there, i recommend to everyone at leat one time to be there
