Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Ask Kuqo at hotel Kanione how to hike the canyon. He will show you were to go. It takes about 4 to 5 hours and there is no established trail. Be prepared to wade and swim as well (everything will get wet).
Absolutely recommended!

There is a wild natyre and one of the biggest canyon in Albania. You can do rafting and explore this hidden gem. For the people that want to do hiking they can go in Tomorri Mountain. There is a place known like The Bride's Hole linked with a story of a bride that was hidden in a hole because she didn't want to get married far away from the family. Also you can explore the Flag Panoramic Loop where you can have a beautiful view of the Canyon and a Waterfall.

Corovoda is a clean little town situated in the middle of some hills. The road to the canyons is asphalted up to an iron bridge. After that the road leading to Permet (around 20 km) is for off-road cars. I have to repeat that the road is asphalted, so going there with a normal car is not a problem. The authorities have to work harder to promote the tourism in the area. There are no signs telling the places of interest, or how far are they from the town center. From Corovoda to Hambull (18 km) first that comes to the sight of the visitor is the turbe of imam Ali ( a bektashi worship place), after that, then comes a Camping from where visitors can have a panoramic look of the canyon, after that in the roadside is the bride's hole (a local legend of hiding a bride that did not want to get married or something), NO SIGN TELLING WHERE IT IS. And last, there is a stunning view of the canyon from the iron bridge, where the road ends. It is to be mentioned that the visitors must visit an ottoman bridge, which is only 1 km away from Corovod, in another direction, the road is perfect. The bridge is past the hydro-power station.

The trip overll is breathtaking nothing you wouldnt like. The pick up place is castle park hotel in Berat which is amazing. The price was 35€ with transportation. You should be read woth your old sneakers because everythign is going to be wet. You have to also be ready physically because it is intense. The views are amazing and the trip from the meeting point to the canyon takes 1:30 Hr and the canyon takes you around 4 hours depending how fast yoy can walk. We had to walk fast because the storm was coming and we had to get out of the cannyon. Overall amszing trip amazing people

This year decided to go to see the Canyon and it turned in to a horrible experience.
The wetsuite was dirty and moldy ,once we got on the raft the (two families with kids)the Raftguy" could not understand English...no proper commands and everything was going dangerously wrong,,,,he was so aggressiv where at one point while having a verbal argument with one of the parents,he directly at high speed intentionally hit the canyon walls "showing us how dangerous everything is" where a french 5 year old child almost broke his teeth by flying on the front of the raft. Father of the child and another guy reacted and the Raft guy started swearing and threatening to throw us aboard... the worst nightmare Costumer experience ... totally not ready for group Rafting. The Owner of the hotel made us pay for the van ticket even though we used our own car and so on and on...I have traveled most of the world but never encountered something like this. "Dont Go To Osum".... Dangerous and Intimidating people.

The very same river that crosses the entire city of Berat, has created, along its journey, the wonderful canyons of Osumi in Skrapar, easily accessible from Berat. The canyons are well-known not only because they are the largest in the country, but also for its wonderful flora and the many outdoor activities carried out there. Hiking here warrants magnificent vistas of the many high slopes of vegetation which beautifully separate from the river, or the opportunity to admire the caves as well as the eight spectacular waterfalls.

We were transferred to Berat and than to the rafting base by our travel agency Apollon Tours offering us the long rafting option. The route was through a scenic road by the Osumi river. Before arriving to the rafting base we had a little stop to a small city and had a nice conversation with the person in charge rafting trip.

The rafting itself was a unique experience through the canyon and we almost wanted to have another trip. After that we were transferred to a very nice traditional restaurant for lunch.

Unforgettable experience.

Fantastic place to visit on canoe or kayak. The waterfalls and canyon were truly breathtaking. Always go rafting or canoeing with a professional guide, not on your own.
