Bit of a detour when coming up from the Wakhan, but worth it. Relatively small high altitude lake, yet with great colours.

We went there in late afternoon in June when the lighting was the most beautiful. Not only were we able to quietly enjoy this lake all by ourselves, there was a nice warm spring nearby which one can go and enjoy. Great experience.

This beautiful lake and almost deserted village offer quite an experience at the Pamir Highway. Stay overnight at a homestay. You can easily book this through PECTA.
