Lovely beach

Excellent beach for children - lots of amenities close to hand - gets a bit crowded at the weekend, but good on weekdays.

Great beach. Beware, nudist at the far right. Great little restaurant just off the beach. Surf can be a bit intimidating but there are lifeguards on site. One of the best I've been to in Portugal

We intended to spend the day on the beach at Sao Martinez, it was so crammed we couldn't park anywhere and we're stuck in traffic jams. Found a back route that bypassed the town totally and led us past fields to Salgado. It is a little tricky to find and only one restaurant and a small cafe nearby up the... More

A little crowded in the summer, hard to find a spot to park but go early, it's worth it. Very very dangerous waves, they have lifeguards but if you have kids, don't leave them alone near the water. Nice to relax plenty of space and very quiet.

Its wild, its beautifull. Just perfect to be alone. May be there is more people in summer. There is also something to call emergency, it can be usefull.

Excellent beach to witness the force of nature up close. The beach is very vast with nice sand and most of the time a strong sea breeze. As mentioned before, the water is very dangerous and it is not recommendable to go to swim here as under currents are extremely dangerous here. As a site it is beautiful to see... More

Very dangerous sea, so be careful and do not try to be adventurous... I just love the mountain green against the light sand ,and the blue water! One of my favourite places!
