Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Maybe it was just our experience, but we had better sightings in this area, condors closer, and fewer crowds. Highly recommend.

The view is amazin, and the best part is that you don't have to many people there. We went there quite late, around noon, and the only other people over there was a family. You can see the greatness of the canyon... it's breathtaking!
We even saw a condor for a couple of minutes.

If you are traveling to Cabanconde, you may consider stopping at this place. It's a roadside viewpoint. Possible that you condors passing while you see the canyon and Tapay.

Step away from everyone else and try this viewpoint. The vista is quite special and with less people, adds something to the experience. Later in the day it was so quiet and peaceful and that made it so much more magical
Once most people had gone, we saw a few more condors, almost on queue. Hah - they were waiting for the tourists to leave.
Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking.

We stopped for the views on the way to Colca Canyon very early in the day, and had sight of Condors flying in the distance, but nothing like those that awaited us. Stop for the view and journey on.

This little viewpoint is ok for a five minute stop over while in the area. Great for taking a pic or two

Do not miss this opportunity if you get the chance. Getting to Colca Canyon is a challenge but one well worth it. Get up before the sun rises and up to the canyon and sit quietly awaiting the condors soaring up on the warm thermals rising from the canyon - a truly magical experience.

You will be able to take great photos and breath the pure air. Nice point to take it all in for a moment. There are few others like this; do them all.

We stopped here on our walk back from Cruz Del Condor to Cabanaconde. Inmpressive views into the valley, and you can see 3 small towns in the canyon. It is much closer to Cruz del Condor than cabanaconde.
