This is a neat spot but hard to take good pictures since the mountains are so far off. You can see most (all?) of the significant peaks and volcanos of the area from one spot. There are markers facing the direction of each peak with the name and height of the peaks. It's worth a 15 minute stop of you... More

A place to see all the surrounding volcanoes. It's really beautiful, but really cold ! Get your coat, hat and gloves on !

A splendid view of Colca canyon. It is right near what will become the Juanita museum. Off the beaten trail still and peaceful.

Nice place to see the villages in the canyon. It is a place most of the treks start. You see SAn Juan de Chuccho and Sangalle. If you are not on a trek. Stop here before you stay/go to Cabanaconde. It's near a soccer stadium

This is a pretty cool view of all the Volcanoes. Worth a stop along the way to the Colca Canyon. It is pretty chilly though, so bring a sweater.

This is the highest point in Colca Canyon, at an elevation of 16,100 ft above sea level. From here, you can see the peaks of all of the surrounding volcanoes. It is cold up there, even in the middle of the day with bright sunshine, so dress warm!

Nice place to pass while hiking the rim of the canyon, but unfortunately we were not lucky to see any Condors there.
