A trek to check your stamina

no stairs or railings, you have to walk and crawl at some point, apart from view from top, nothing special.

Its around 70km from BLR (depends from which part you start). Good time to start is in early morning. We started at 12.30pm. it was fine but.. take cap, water and good sports shoes and you are good to go. It took around 3hours for us to complete up-down included. There are 2 temples before you start your trek. so... More

Its one of the best place to trek on this monolithic rock Takes about 4-5 hrs for a moderate person to climb up. Should be cautious while climbing up and even while getting down

60kms from the Bangalore city, you can take the kengeri-big banyan tree(or dodda aalada mara) road. You don't need any permission for day trekking, regarding night trekking just ring up the official savandurga state forest and enquire. Will be a good experience for amateur trekkers. Make sure that you make the descend before 12 noon. Get the shoes which has... More

A climb up this monolithic rock is one that totally tests your physical and mental strength. We started off by bowing down at the Narasimha temple at the foothills. Takes about 4 - 6 hours to climb up. Need to be careful while coming down, you could be misled and might have to take the steeper path down.

Its a different experience all-together to climb a bare rock. Should be visited only during dry season since wet weather will make the rock slippery making it difficult to ascend and more risky descend. Few blogs say trekking is ban

Disclaimer: Many news articles suggest that trekking is with permission only. Though we were lucky to not get hassled by anyone and there were quite a bunch of people climbing. However please check. Its a huge hude monolith (a single piece of rock). Just the sheer size of a single rock is exciting. The trek needs a level of fitness... More

Very steep hill. Not the place for beginners. Would rate the difficulty level as medium. Take plenty of water, chocolates and good shoes. Take packed food as there are no good food options nearby. You get water at top of the hill at Rs.80 for half litre!! The whole trip will take 3-4 hrs. 2-3 hours uphill and 1-2 hrs... More

It's a good place if you love to climb mountains and love exercising. The hill is steep and some positions. Take lot of water bottles with you.

Once you reached the spot, park your vehicle in base and also a temple is there. Take a water bottle with you and good trekking or sports shoe is... More
