The main attraction in Diwan-i-Khas is the Lotus throne. The intricate carvings on the pillar built in red stone is indeed a masterpiece. It's an excellent piece of mughal architecture. The carvings are said to symbolize the different religions prevalent in India during Akbar's era and religious harmony.

Beautifully intricate carvings which seem like it must have taken years of work to accomplish. Great example of workmanship from the artisans hundreds of years ago.

Marvelous architectural piece inside Diwan-e-khas. Its a carved stone and it is very well preserved. Engraving represents different religions prevailing at that time. It represented Din-e-Elahi ideology prevailed during Akbar times

Most unusual structure I have seen. Looks 2 storied but isn't. The carvings well preserved and deep. Akbar's seat an imaginative construct.
