According to my guide it was a place for keeping the king's horses and camels. There are loops in which the animals ropes were tied and a hollowed out area in which their feed was kept.

A debatable structure beside Jodhbai’s Palace in Fatehpur Sikri. Some says it was a horse and camel stable, other believed that it was used as accommodation for royal harem maids. A red sandstone structure with floral pattern carved on interior and exterior walls.

Very picturesque part in the heart of the Fatehpur Sikri complex. Definitely recommend a guide or audio guide to be able to appreciate the history of each area of the ghost city.

It's easy to imagine a bustling city with such a large open square - the carvings are absolutely beautiful.

it is amazing how this building was designed and built in those days when there must have not been many machines.

A royal stable having beautiful architecture located alongside Jodhabhai palace and Birbal Bhawan. A must watch building to end Fatehpur Sikri trip.
