Gullfoss is definitely a must see stop on the Golden Circle. The falls are absolutely spectacular and the photos dont fully do them justice!

Totally worth the trip, the falls are way more impressive in person. Be prepared to get a little wet.

Gulfoss is one of the most powerful and scenic waterfalls in Iceland, part of the Golden Circle route, 10 min drive East from Geysir Center. There is a car park nearby, short walk to the falls.

Fantastic place and one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland. We were blessed with pretty perfect weather. Not much point trying to describe it, just go and experience the falls for yourself if you're lucky enough.

Where are you staying? In which town? The Golden Circle is a must-see and it certainly is worth a detour.

We were on the Golden Circle EXPRESS tour which gave us 45 minutes there in very extreme weather. If the weather had been clear, we'd have wanted longer (not least to walk down the route that was closed on the day we were... More
