Wonderful waterfall - you can feel the spray at quite a distance, and the view from multiple viewing points nearby is fabulous.

A must see in Iceland- part of the golden circle drive and well worth the effort, however you get there. What more can you say - it's a waterfall. But it's simply beautiful.

It was pouring with rain when we visited Gullfoss but you have to do what you can when you can. It was still an amazing sight to see but I can imagine that it would have been stunning if it had been sunny out. We...More

I have been to many of the major waterfalls in the world. Gullfoss ranks in the top 5 or 6. Very much worth a visit.

These falls are a must for your visit to Iceland. Whilst other waterfalls such as Skogafoss are enjoyable this is the big brother....a magnificent set of waterfalls showing nature at it powerful best. Very close to Geysir.

Where are you staying? In which town? The Golden Circle is a must-see and it certainly is worth a detour.

We were on the Golden Circle EXPRESS tour which gave us 45 minutes there in very extreme weather. If the weather had been clear, we'd have wanted longer (not least to walk down the route that was closed on the day we were... More
