Arrived here at 12:45am, the changing rooms were fine, very dated but clean and well kept.
Got to the pool area and it was a bit of an overcast day but was still 18-19 degrees. When we got in the pool it was freezing the recorded temp for that day was 27.5! There is absolutely no way the kids were chittering!

We waited on the inflatable coming out at 1pm but honestly this was a slow starter. People standing outside the pool for absolute ages freezing because they were already wet(no idea what was taking so long) by the time wee girl had done that she started to go blue 😳got her to changing rooms immediately, where I can’t believe the absolute selfishness of adults!

My daughter was visibly turning blue waiting for a warm shower, there are only 5 shower heads in this large changing room and women were for all on going for a set you up for the day kind of shower, all I wanted to do was give my daughter a quick rinse and get a heat in her and they just stood and looked at her shaking like mad and turning blue! I just grabbed my daughter got her dressed etc with no shower and gave her to her dad to take her to the car then proceeded to get ready myself.

I won’t be going back to this pool we travelled 50miles each way and it so wasn’t worth it!

Such a let down as I’ve wanted to go for ages.

Fantastic facility. I booked online, I wanted a family ticket, but as this said unavailable, I tried to book a number of individual tickets. The app will only allow you to book 1 ticket in total for that day. I called the office, and was told I’d need different accounts to book the rest of the tickets! They suggested I just turned up and paid at the door, as their capacity is 400. I explained that I didn’t want to risk driving from Fife, to find we couldn’t get in. They kindly made a family ticket available for me to book on my account.
I’d suggest arriving for opening, if you’d like some sun beds, as I got the last 2, fifteen minutes after opening.
A Scottish folk band entertained for the 1st hour, organising a Ceilidh in the pool. There’s a slide at the deep end, large inflatable for the kids to enjoy for a couple of hours. There’s a kids very shallow paddling area which wasn’t open. The cafe kiosk is open for burgers, hotdogs, chips, ice cream and drinks. Reasonably priced, although they do accept card payments, even though their signs say cash only.
We picked a great day to go, temperature was 23-25c, but it was still very cold getting out of the pool. Changing areas were clean on arrival, but got quite messy as the day went on.
Overall my family had a great day out, and would definitely return in the future.

Fab place (if you get the weather right which, fortunately, we did) to spend the day. We arrived when the doors opened at 10 am and were able to get loungers. Water was warm, clean, plenty of life guards who are very diligent, water slide opens slightly later on (after lane swimming is over), my 12-year old son loved it and was up and down it most of the time. Inflatable obstacle comes out between 1 pm and 3 pm in the shallower end of the pool. Plenty of room in the deep end of the pool for a leisurely swim or longe around in the water. Cafe on site that does both sit in (no swimwear or bare feet) or takeaway from the pool side which is handy for drinks/ice cream and lunch. Changing facilities were decent, remember to take £1 coin for the lockers. We spent the whole day there and loved it, paid £16 which I felt was reasonable.

Went for a midnight swim by myself after I got stood up by my friends. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Wish they could be more helpful in providing spare swimming trunks after I misplaced mine. Anyhoo, I was lucky enough to remember a pair of pants to swim in. The pool was a nice temp but very salty. I like to recommend to future visitors to remember goggles as I forgot and my eyes were red for days, you could say it looked like pink eye! Despite the embarrassing blunder, I hope to return next summer.

What a fantastic swimming pool. Visited with a group of 12 young people as part of a Boys Brigade camp - they all loved it! Pool was unexpectedly warm. Live music added to the atmosphere. Warm welcome received from one of the “friends” of the pool. Highly recommended for anyone in the area.

Went swimming here tonight and had a great time. I'm quite a fast swimmer so chose the lane session, I'm also quite a wimp with cold water and the water was the perfect temperature. The pool is very beautiful, the water is very blue and the colour scheme makes it look sunny even when it isn't. The changing rooms are great too, it reminds me of the open air pools on the continent open during the summer which every small town seem to have. Far more enjoyable than swimming in a 25m indoor pool. The salt water is also very good for your general health.

Visited the pool recently with my wife and boys. First time for my boys and they loved the pool. The original decor of the changing rooms kept as I remembered it as a kid. Plenty of lockers available. Lots of other families were there and great weather to enjoy the pool. There is a slide at the deep end of the pool and an inflatable obstacle course for teens to try. There was also live music playing. Plenty of lifeguards on patrol to keep visitors safe.

Only negative experienced was ordering of food at the restaurant. Paid for my order of three bowls of chips at one window and waited at the other. But the staff had forgotten my order after noticing a group of girls made an order of chips and received within 10 minutes. I waited 30 minutes for my order and then approached a staff member about it. I finally got my order and got compensated with an extra bowl of chips.

This negative experience won’t put me off from visiting the pool again but I won’t be buying food from the restaurant.

I am embarrassed to admit in 24 years I've never been here before now. What an amazing place!

Kids (aged 10 & 6) loved it! The shallow end was just perfect for my youngest & he was happy swimming away with his arm bands on. Lots of floats kicking about. Oldest had a go on the slide which I didn't think she would.

Lots of families obviously not an amateur like me as they'd rocked up with coolers etc to stay & play for a longer period. Lady who does the Aqua Zumba was brilliant & the kids joined in at one point. Where she gets her energy from I don't know!

Went to the cafe after our swim - lovely place with friendly staff. The salad with the soup was amazing! Wish I'd taken a picture now as the portion filled me without the soup! Kids happy with the choices and the variety of milkshake flavours obviously! Highly recommend!

What a great place this is, and well worth a visit. The character of the place is wonderful, a real Victorian feel to it, and so glad it’s been restored. We enjoyed our hour long slot for a swim, and as I was on the waiting list, the staff are great at phoning to let you know you’ve a slot free, as I might’ve missed the email. Great fun and we’ll be back!

Visited with 3 adults and a 5 year old child. Felt 23.80 a bit steep for experience. One adult was spectator and they charge for that. Got impression that if the adult just goes to cafe (no charge). Maybe wrong and some clarity required by pool. So it’s sit outside freezing in pool area and pay. Or say behind cosy cafe glass and not pay. Wonder if they would charge if my 97 year old mum came and spectated. Maybe worried she would strip on and jump in pool. Average facilities and seen cleaner showers, wish they would do something with that gate that lets wind through. Now I know if the flag flutters horizontally it’s going to be like artic as soon as you step out water. I think pool is forgetting the current economic climate for families.
