Visited Fort Malden with my wife and two friends! Found it very informative and interesting! A great look back in history! Beautiful location looking onto the Detroit River. Very reasonable admittance fee to enter the Fort!

For under 8$ went and spent a few hours and learned Canadian history. Kids did a scavenger hunt with prizes worth more than what we paid for in admission. The youth on site working were very courteous and knowledgeable as they shared the forts history....More

Learn about the War of 1812 from Parks Canada staff in period costumes. Watch and participate in activities of the times. Rest a while along the Detroit River. Be sure to visit during one of the many festivals held here!

ample and free parking on a historic site . amherstburg and fort malden were important sites to repel the evil american invasion of canada in the war of 1812 . many plaques and artifacts and sites to visit .

We were very disappointed to find Fort Malden closed mid-day on a Wednesday when the posted signs indicated it should have been open. Since the gates were closed and there was no one around to ask what was happening we just continued on our walk...More

Before Visiting Fort Malden historic site ensure that the buildings are open. Inside you will find genuine artifacts from the war and many educational exhibits.
