Spending a weekend in Llansteffan and despite me being on crutches we still made the trek up to Llansteffan castle. Lovely little walk up from the beach and stunning views of Carmarthen from the top. With the village only being small I’d definitely recommend making...More

Llansteffan castle was a place we went to as a child on the occassional Sunday for a walk, since I've moved away over 25 years ago, when I do return to Wales I always make an effort to visit Llansteffan castle. To me sitting in...More

Nice place for a look around after a lovely walk on the beach. Bit of a climb up the surrounding hills, but great sea views on the way.

Great for a day out with younsters. There is woefully little known history of this place and it is on a great beach route whichever way you.

The castle and beach are accessible and relatively easy walk, the castle is kept beautifully, and the views are spectacular, well worth a visit.

Park in Llansteffan's little harbour carpark (complete with popular chip shop and cafe) and yomp up the path through the woods to the castle, perched strikingly on the hilltop overlooking the sea. I was amazed that there was no charge to go inside the castle...More

This castle stands high over LLansteffan town and the beach and is an incredible ruin. It is free and though most Cadw sites give little information, this castle has more information than is usual for such sites. Our family loved it and it seems to...More

Well worth a walk along the path and up to the castle to see the ruins and sweeping views over the hill from them. The castle is full of history and plaques to mark specific things around the castle for you. Looking over to Ferry...More

I'm a bit stunnned people are grumbling about making an effort to walk up a hill, it isn't that steep or in fact long! It isn't really set up for buggies or wheelchair users, but as the attraction is currently free I think it's great...More
