Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The view here is stunning, the paddy field is so nice to look at, all the greens are very soothing to the eyes.

I love the feel of the place.

Suggest visit time is early morning, or overnight here. At night, you can enjoy clear starry night and once you wake up in the morning, you'll see all greenery around you. Terraced paddy field surrounding you. A cup of freshly brewed coffee by the locals would be a great beginning of the day.

Well what a beautiful place in this country to stop for a break and relax .
On our way back from the cloud Forest we stopped here for lunch .
So relaxing sitting in the rice paddy fields having Tom yum gai, fried block choline oyster greens . Think the translation got lost to English 😁. Also spicy glass noodles with salad .
Fruit drinks and beer to finish .
So tranquil sitting in the middle of the paddy field .
There is also huts you can stay in overnight to take in the atmosphere .
Nice beds and western toilets .
Best way to finish the day .
We used Untouched Thailand for this trip with Tom , so if you need a guide to find these beautiful places use him .

Stopped in the middle of our hike to the peak of Doi Inthanion at this mountainside village. Our guide was lovely, and the coffee was delicious. The rice/coffee fields were beautiful

while driving on our scooter through the park we accidentally passed this beautiful place and were lucky to see the rice fields being watered.

If you enjoy walking in natural routes, I would recommend this place. It is a little of adventure but not too tough even you are a beginner in trekking.

Reach Ban Mae Klang Luang, enough car parking area.
Enjoy some coffee, then take a local tour guide (400 bht fixed price) to lead you to the village route.
It takes about 2-3 hours to walk from beginning to the end including some long stops for photo shooting.
There is a quite clean toilet during your walking so do not worry if you need one.

Teenagers and healthy adults or retired persons can enjoy this trekking.
Some steep, slope spots with bamboo stairs to help the walking easier.

Be careful of slippery if trek in rainy season.

Visited this village on several occasions and met both Somsak and also Ken from Seclee Coffee. On my second trip to this area, Ken from Seclee set up a fabulous nature hike which took us along a river and up to a waterfall. Definite jungle trek complete with the sighting of a deadly pit viper. Purchased some good coffee and enjoyed meeting the very friendly villages although most did not speak my language (English). We did not use a tour group but found this village on the recommendation of a park ranger. We had hired a driver in Chiang Mai and used him several times to cruise around the rural areas outside of Chiang Mai. Best time to visit is in November/December due to summer rains and late winter poor air quality.

This is a small and beautiful village in Doi Inthanon National Park. It is well known for terraced rice field grow by the local mountain people You must overnight here. The best time to visit is in the last week of October or early November when the whole paddy fields turn gold and the rice ready for harvest.

The best time to see the rice field is from Aug-October, from there you take the short trail to Pa Dok Seaw waterfall or hire local truck to visit Ban Pa Bong Piang for a nicer and bigger scene of the stepped rice field.
