Spotted the lower station stop in Royal Victoria Park when visiting with my teenage kids. Climbed up a small short incline to the main station ( not visible from main green ) . very friendly man in ticket office , train had open and end carriages , seating 4 max in each. The ride is about 5 minutes through a... More

Miniature railway in The Royal Victoria country park! Quite a long winding track, very popular with the children, make sure to check by phone or website as to when it's running, I cut through the park on "The Red Barron" (My mountain bike) quite a bit, I hardly ever see it running.

My little boy (1 at the time) loved going on this. Not expensive and a lovely little train with friendly staff who chatted to him. It was very quiet when we went and had the choice of all carriages. He thoroughly enjoyed himself and we will definitely be back again!

Both of my sons always enjoy a visit to the railway everytime we go to Victoria Country Park. Staff are always friendly and it's well worth the money for the ride.

The railway is really good. Nice long track through a good park area. We had a super diesel engine driven by a driver who happily chatted about the future. Fascinating stuff. Awesome views of Southampton Water so good for watching shipping pass by. Good long ride great for kids and adults alike

Good price for the little ride that was kids highlight. Not very long opening hours so check before you go e.g. not open til 11 on Sunday.

Very cheap, young children loved it, shame it wasn't staffed well as we wanted to stop at other station and get the return later but not enough staff to do this

A small narrow gauge railway which trundles a short distance through the park. It's great, cheap, fun for children and for big children like us! Great history as well.

It's a short railway and it's fun - and run by volunteers. For less than £5 we got a ride around the park which my six year old loved (there's only the one station you get on and off from). We all had big smiles on our face - it's a lovely cheap thing to do when you're there.

Visit Santa on the train with my nieces, great Christmas experience, great fun for young children to go on the short train ride and everyone is welcoming.
