Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is our third day in Indonesia. In the middle of Ramadan so wasn't sure what to expect. When we arrived we were told that the guy who runs it is not there. We decided to see the animals anyway. So glad we did. The owners joined us later and explained the animals to us. They are lovely people, know loads about their animals and care well for them. We are a group of 6 and we all enjoyed the rescue centre. Going there is worth it, we cycled from Borobudur, it was hot and challenging but definitely worth it. I would visit them again without hesitation if we had more time. A must go to destination!

Great and enthusiastic owners that really love what they do. Nice animals and a very good and very interesting and educational tour. They explain with passion and let you touch the animals (if you wish)

The aim of the farm is to save the reptiles in Indonesia and especially the snakes, who very rarely are poisonous but get killed out of suspicion, so for no reason. They believe that education is the answer. It is a non-profit organisation that lives solely on donations.

What an excellent experience for our teenage boys. These guys collect and relocate snakes and other reptiles back into the jungle, and also use the opportunity to educate local schoolchildren. They're so genuine and really love what they're doing. It was by far the highlight of the trip for our boys as they were able to handle several snakes and the baby croc. Take an ojek or a motor scooter into the place, as the 'road' gets quite small as you get close to the facility.

Subject: reptile rescue borobudur
Location: reptile rescue borobudur
Title: Organised from villa borobudur as a short trip
ID#: 479861440

this place specialises in rescuing reptiles - the owner has around 40-50 snakes which have been brought to him by locals found in homes fields etc
they vary from small to very large
basically they keep the snakes for a while and then release them
the main aim is to educate the locals that most local snakes are not dangerous and for those that are simple steps to avoid danger
the owner spoke reasonable english and we handled a number of very large pythons and other smaller snakes
we also released a large python into the local river
these people are very genuine and we were impressed by this project
no fee was charge ( we paid via our hotel) however the fees they charge are very modest and we left a donation
we would have bought some t shirts but the key for the sales cabinet was missing!
