Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you are in Jiaxing then you have to visit here, on the island in the middle of the lake is the 'Red boat' where the Communist party of China held their first meeting in 1921. It is the city's primary historic item so pop over and check it out, I can't comment on how much it costs as I had a free trip accompanied by the local TV station recording me.
I have been around the lake several times and there are more interesting options. Summer months you will see water chestnuts being picked, spring and the parks are full of colourful blooms. At the north of lake is a small Chinese writing museum and a temple that is along a small path leading in to the lake.
It is possible to get a free boat near the lake that will take you through to Yuehe old town, you will need to scan an app and ideally have Chinese writing skills or someone to help.
This is somewhere you really need to visit for the scenery and historic background. If you are just walking around the parks and gardens everything is free. Ferry to see red boat will cost you.

This is a must see when you're in the area! Tells about some of the history of the area, you over see the city in the Pagoda. Nice place to walk and see authentic China architecture.

A really lovely place. Just be aware that it can be quite confusing where to actually catch the boat out to the island - we did a lot of walking to and fro, even with my Chinese friend. There is a sweet little tea shop on the smaller island you can walk over to that served quite delicious pizza and pasta of all things with a lovely view. There is a replica of the boat where communism was signed into existence on the bigger island. We didn't make it to the museum but I don't feel we missed out.
