An hour long walk through the park with the owner taught us so much about the plants and flowers native to this region. He showed us orchids with a jewelers loop that were invisible to the naked eye.

See yanacocha.If the kind owner of the colibri hostal didn't tell me,I'd have missed this great zoo,and the lovely grounds.The residents include wooley and spider monkeys,parrots,turtle,ocelot.. Nice walking trails,clean,and very low cost entry.If you love animals,take a look at Yanacocha.

You can tell the owner really loves what he does. He takes the time to explain and show things. His mini magnifying glass can highlight unbelievable things.

A bastion of conservation and knowledge in puyo. A short distance in taxi or bus from the centre of town. Lovely orquids and butterflies.
