Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Loved this beach!! Bit of a drive from Costa caletta but well worth it. You can walk for miles along golden sand. The sea is fairly calm and perfect for swimming. One if the best beaches I’ve ever been to. It is frequented by nudists so be prepared!! A must see for anyone visiting Fuerteventura

Jandia is a wild parque. There is just one local road. You have to drive very slowly. On the other side if you are patient, you will see the best beach at Fuerteventura. Coffete beach is a long long beach on west coast. Probably you will be there alone so you can enjoy surfing, sunbathing, kiting.. Next to the beach are big mountains. You lay on the sand and see the vertical walls, you know that nature has much more power then you! The parque is separetely from civilization, be sure you have enough water, food, benzin...

Never done one of these before but thought I'd give it a go to see the wild west coast of Fuerteventura and the very southern tip. Collected at 9.30 am and return to hotel 4.30pm so great value for money. Eleven Jeeps in convey driving over to Cofete (amazing views) then a beach stop for swimming. Then it's off to the lighthouse at the southernmost tip of Fuerteventura and finally a decent lunch at a little restaurant. Would thoroughly recommend a trip like this but expect to return rather dusty and tired....although it wasn't nearly such an uncomfortable ride as I had expected.

The Saladar (salt marsh) de Jandia is a protected site of scientific interest and is partially flooded at high tides thus getting water to sustain the area. It is home to a number of birds, lizards and most visible are the donkeys that roam freely and the ground squirrel which is regarded as an unwanted pest. A rare area of natural greenery which is very pleasant to see.

We walked from the FV2 road towards the west coast, and continued for around 5 hours. The area is beautiful and unspoiled. The views of the West Coast are brethtaking.

A nice walk on the boardwalk to the lighthouse with plenty of chipmonks close by. A short walk then to the sea

We had a balcony that overlooked this area and were fortunate to experience a high tide when sea water floods the area attracting lots of birds in to the area

Whilst here on holiday had a very high tidal surge and it did cause a bit of chaos for some people who are not used to the oceans habits. Beach always clean and tidy. Lifeguards did evacuate the beach at one point due to the water levels and they then stayed at there post even though there station looked like it was going to get washed away. Loved the beach and the wildlife on the salt marshes.

Recommended for nature-lovers. It's enjoyable whether you are a serious birder, a professional biologist or just someone who likes to see wild animals and plants. Park at the southernmost parking area and stroll along the track. Lots of Atlantic lizards and shrikes that prey on them plus some local specialities for the hardened botanists and birders.

Hiya, I am visiting in Feb and struggling to find any info online about Parque Natural de Jandía. Is it a case of once you are there it is easier? I am interested in walking trails in particular. Ones that take in the wildlife and landscape. Thanks
