Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Dominating the view from our holiday apartment, this is still a working lighthouse.

A stroll along the wooden boardwalk brings you up close & then you can see the 'obligatory' graffiti, that unfortunately all lighthouses attract.

Situated in the middle of the 3km Playa del Matorral, it can been seen from both ends & beyond.

This area is slightly ruined by being across the road from the Blackpool of Fuerteventura but if arcades and beer are your thing this is the place for you! The beach is lovely though, clean with lovely views.

Absolutely beautiful beach. Water can get quite rough on very windy days but still fantastic fun. Highly recommend- just awesome.

This attractive lighthouse is a useful marker for the visitor, as it dominates the skyline for miles around. You can't go up it or anything, but there's a bar very close by, and look out for ground squirrels, as you cross the boardwalk across the salt marsh.

This working Lighthouse is situated on Playa Matorral on the other side of the protected nature reserve.

It is accessible by walking a distance along the beach or over a wooden footbridge.

It did look as if it was in need of a good coat of paint.

Great area for walking. The coastline is magnificent with the waves crashing into the sea etc. Lovely stretch of beach. You can walk right up to the lighthouse but if you want to go on the beach be prepared to paddle through some shallow water depending on the tide.

Great area of beach, lovely blue sea! Toilets available next to the lighthouse and shops just a few minutes walk away. Perfect for a day on the beach.

Just a fabulous beach, best we have seen outside of Australia and the Caribbean, the walk along the front is both paved and wooden walkways to the beach itself. The lighthouse is a good marker and an interesting view and the chipmunks are everywhere in the fenced nature reserve which borders the beach.

Just got back yesterday from Morro Jable, stayed at the occidental jandia mar which is up a hill but if your fit and healthy then no problem. Anyways back to resort. Quiet this time of year, shops close early ish as it’s classed out of season but if your wanting a nice relaxing holiday then perfect, the beach is amazing with nice blue sea, perfect for a good stroll. Head into the town and there are a few beach side eateries/bars. We hired a car from the airport for the week and dropped it off back to the airport when time to go home we used a company called Autoreisen, u can choose car on line and book it and then pay when arrive. Was only £94 for a week for a Citroen Picasso. We went up to Corralejo which I recommend to see the sand dunes and amazing views. Overall I had a great holiday. I would recommend.
