Relatively quiet, peaceful, and packed with history. The shrine was probably established about 520AD but as it has been there since records began nobody really knows. Beautiful, clear, spring pool alongside. Ideal to visit in conjunction with the Mount Fuji World Heritage Centre which is...More

This place was a good place to wander round and enjoy the grounds which included a small lily pond, nice bronze statues as well as buildings and shrines with historical significance. It would probably be best to experience when there are no large coach parties...More

This was a nice temple, the shrine maidens were all dressed up around the shrine getting ready for New Years. But today there was a good view of Fuji and nice nature relaxing feel to the shrine.

This temple complex is relatively small. It is pretty and has a crystal clear water lake fed by Mt Fuji. We were out of luck when it comes to viewing Mt Fuji; the moutain was totally obscured; heavy clouds in the summer afternoon.

The shrine area includes several buildings and shrines, as well as beautiful water features. Combination and culture and scenery was a photographer's dream! And of course views of Mt. Fuji!

This is a shrine from where on a clear day you can see Mt. Fuji. This shrine is beautifully located surrounded by a lake and wilderness area.
