We had a lovely trip in the evening sunshine to Le Hourdel and back from the port at St Valery, lots of entertaining information from Le Capitain on the tides, the buildings and the wildlife of he Baie de Somme. The trip was very child-friendly, the skipper invited children into the cabin to steer and sound the whistle, which caused... More

After the disappointment of the train was thrilled that the boat was wheelchair accessible. Saw many different sea birds and the seal several times. Good views of the town from the water. Commentary is in French but if you understand a few words then at least you know to look left or right. Worth the trip and reasonable cost in... More

We took a 90 minute trip around the bay on a glorious afternoon. Saw Cormorants and every so often a seal would pop it's head out to look at us. We returned 4 days later to go on the Seal Rib ride at 6.45pm, also lasted 90 minutes. What a huge privilege and experience this was. We spent a long... More

Full two hour tour of the Baie de Somme's estuary on board Commandant Charcot III. No seals that day but beautiful sights, sail boats, Le Crotoy village from far and a first for us: to witness visually the separation line between salt water and fresh water. Dress properly, it can be cold, windy and wet.

There are two boats which take a quick tour (45 minutes) around the bay - Commandant Charcot III and IV. They take turns - we were in the smaller Charcot IV, one decker. (I don't know what happened to I and II). Starting from the harbour in Le Crotoy, when the tide is right they take you out. Unfortunately they... More

Went on this boat trip on 17th May as part of a tour of Bain de Somme. Weather was glorious which was its saving grace! Left late as captain wasn't aboard and there was no safety information given in English. There were no facilities to buy refreshments of any sort although there was a bar area with a price list... Lovely trip out to the end of the estuary & back (40 mins, €12 & 8). The company does a combined ticket to Crotoy, boat out & steam train back which we would've taken if we hadn't done the same trip by train a few days earlier. Would recommend this trip but shame the commentary was only in French. Would... More

No seal lions but the kids had fun. Didn't like paying 50 euro for 2 adults and 2 kids but fun anyway
