This is one of the most beautiful wooden churches in Maramures, very well preserved. The person in charge is very friendly and welcoming. There's the typical Maramures atmosphere inside (traditional blankets and carpets, decorations that you can find in the homes of Maramures as well)....More

We were very lucky to have a great guide who explained all of the painting inside in English for our group. What a beautiful iconostasis (icon screen). This is an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This church was closed but we managed to see an old lady who came to open the door. The interior is magnificent. Colorful painted wood, scarves, ... we wish we had a guide with us.
