Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you have an impression of a fancy sea bridge from most pictures you saw ,forget it. Most of them are shot to capture the beauty of the place only, eclipsing the peripherals.
That being said there is a vibe to this place which fills your heart. I can attest this both as a local, and from others' experiences.
Pros : The feeling of walking into the sea and the wonderful view of the sunset.
10 minute walk from the Thalassery railway station/bus stand.
Around 400 meter close to the much acclaimed Paris hotel, known for its
Thalassery biriyani . Also close to Tellicherry fort.
No entry fee or time restrictions.
Cons : Dirty surroundings ,and lack of safety :
This is not a "official" touristy place and is down a "dirty" road . If you casually walk to the end in the dark , there are chances you'll end up in water. This is a broken bridge with no barriers on either side.
No provision for parking though you can park nearby and take a stroll to the place.
Not recommended for families after 7 pm since darkness surrounds the place and gets filled with alcoholics and suspicious groups occupying spots.
Recommended time : 5 pm -7 pm or early morning if you're with family . Not too concerned about the view of the sunset? Spending some time in the night can provide a different vibe.
Fun Fact : The popular Malayalam movie "Thattathin Marayath" has played a big part in making this place attractive to the outsiders.

One of the best view u can have. But the place is nasty, smells terrible. Its ur choice. Best to walk on the beach and let the breeze hit ur face. That's what i recommend.

You can walk along the pier and enjoy the view of the sea. The ancient pier now is just a spot where people hang out in the evening. The pier is poorly maintained and at some places there is no bridge. Be extremely cautious if visiting with kids. The surrounding area is also full of ancient buildings and it adds to the beauty of the place

A totally unclean place. But the bridge is so good. The place is also very nice to hang out. You can see the fishermen fishing, the sea, and many other panoramic views. A little fish smelly.

Not a very neat place. Very dirty and unkempt. Needs lots of restoration to make it an attraction. Fish market close by and reaching there is a bit of pain. Just plain bridge, broken at many places, no place to sit. Would not recommend unless you have nothing else to do.
