Pure recreation....

The Bridal Veil Falls are a beuatiful place to relax . We spent the whole afternoon there, climbing up the falls, swimming in the pool and sunbathing.
The road that leads to the falls ist surely not in its' best state, but even our Honda Fit managed. All efforts are definately worth it, with the route offering scenic views of the flora.

Hidden Gem
Oct. 2018 • Family
The drive from Chimanimani village is not for the feint hearted. You need a 4WD to negotiate the long, rocky, winding track.

When you arrive however, it's so worth it!

The falls are aptly named and you can get quite close and even paddle in the (freezing!) water.

You can also take a track and climb up to the top but you need to be fit because it's steep and hard work.

If you're in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe then you must visit the falls. Truly a hidden gem!

Perfect getaway
Jun. 2017 • Friends
Situated a few kilometres from chimanimani village very much accesible by road. Best way to enjoy the place is to go by foot preferably through the pork pine mountain. Its a beautiful enclosed area which never disappoint especially with the weather that characterise chimanimani.

Amazing!

One of the most beautiful places I saw in my life. The shape depicts it's name. We couldn't manage to camp beneath the falls because of the weather (rainy and cold). I would recommend going up to the source of the falls, it is steep but worth it.

Peaceful beautiful falls

The falls are really pretty and worth the drive. They are well hidden within the chimanimani area.Had to pay $3 for each person and also for the vehicle. Arrived late when they were about to close but they allowed us in. It was really peaceful and quiet. Pity we couldn't take a dip in the water. They have picnic areas and changing rooms are also available, also can be a venue for weddings etc.

Lovely hideaway
Jul. 2017 • Couples
Bridal veil falls is a super duper hideaway tucked away in a lush green forest. The falls are located in the Chimanimani Eland Sanctuary which is part of the Chimanimani National Park. The road leading to the falls is a bit bumpy but managed to slowly drive our tiny car to the falls. There are benches and tables which are in the well manicured 'garden' a stone's throw away from the pool at the bottom of the falls. one can rest and just watch water cascade down the face of the mountain.
The falls are beautiful, they really do look like a bride's veil. One can hike up to the top of the falls where the 'source' is. There is a map showing the places one can view the falls on their way up though it does not show the distance to the top of the falls. The best surprise was that midway up there is a smaller veil which is also lovely to just watch. one might miss this smaller veil as it is off the main walking path and you have to follow another path to this waterfall.
one should carry their camera and hiking shoes to make the climb up easier. The only animals we spotted were baboons that were swinging in the tree tops.

A lovely, peaceful spot - worth the bumpy road to visit
Jul. 2017 • Friends
Five of us bumped our way along a very rough track to reach these wonderful falls. It was lovely to walk around the area and to pose at the foot of these aptly named falls - there are many such named falls around the world but these really do live up to the name.
