We stopped off here on our way around the tasman bays sai;ling and we saw fur seals blue penguins, loads of bird life including the white heron. we had excellent weather and this bay was sheltered from wind and an excellent kayak or swim area.
we as 50 and 50 plus year olds Kayaked around this area and it was really easy to do, so even if you may be put off by the distance you kayak, don't be, it's easy going and allows you an up close and personal...More
I enjoyed visiting the marine reserve with Marahau Sea Kayaks. Great to watch the seals on the rocks and in the water. Try to get there at high tide for the best seal encounters - (don't get too close!)
