Our guided walks take you to our 'kiwi' bach built in the early 1900s by a farmer attempting to run sheep along the rocky granite coastline of what is today the renowned Abel Tasman National Park. Old but brimming with history, visitors hear the tales of whale strandings and local stories while enjoying a lunch stop in one of the most beautiful bays of the Abel Tasman National Park.

We had the best of times with our guide Ken, who told us many interesting things of the nature and history of Abel Tasman park. The tracks were pleasant to walk and the beaches marvellous. We chose the "Paddle me home" tour, which was a good combination as you got to see the seaside with fur seals as well. Be... More

My wife and I booked our Abel Tasman trek via Abel Tasman Tours. . They were quick to offer suggestions and organized our trip efficiently. We had to change our dates a little bit and it presented no problem. My wife developed some back issues so could not do the walk and at the last minute they adjusted the schedule... More

We had a one day guided walk with Jen taking the coastal path to Anchorage with lunch stop, very informative it was great to enjoy the walk without worrying about organisation, our second day we spent with Wilsons for a full day of sea kayaking, Maree provided amazing packed lunches for both days and ferried us back and forth to... We booked the "paddle me home" trip and had a great time. We met our guide (Ken) in Kaiteriteri and boarded the water taxi for Apple Tree Bay. Ken guided us well through our almost three hour walk along the Abel Tasman costal path and was very informative about the flora and fauna we saw along the way. A very... More

My husband and I took this guided hike yesterday and it was really awesome. Since nobody else had signed up for that day we got a personal tour! Ken was a wonderful tour guide and we learned a lot about this park and its plants and history as well as about New Zealand in general. Lunch in Ken and Marlee's... More

We were recommmended not to miss this area of South Island and we are glad we saw it. A search through trip advisor brought up Ken and Maree as hosts of a tour so we sent off our email, a little last minute but we're lucky to get a positive reply that they had space for 2 more. We stayed... More

Our stay was 9-11th Jan 17, together with another couple (4 in total) in the Estuary Cottage at Maree & Ken Cook's Riwaka Retreat. Ken also took us on a guided walk (comfortable ~4 hours walking plus breaks (Ken had lots of local info) & enjoying great packed lunches both days & lunch at the Cook's bach) from Marahau to... This is the second time doing a tour as it was so good last time I had to bring my husband this time. The guides are so knowledgable and skilled looking after a range of people, we learned so much about the local area, birds and fauna. Food was great too and the lodges well equipped with drying rooms and... More

These guys are fantastic. Every stage smoothly done and everyone going out of their way to provide a wonderful, seamless experience. We are so impressed with the service with each stage. Forgotten t-shirts and sunglasses cases found and returned, restaurants booked, lovely lunches, good trip tips, great communication. Marahau lodge is gorgeous too.I have only good things to say! Highly... More

This is a track that requires you to walk for more than 4hrs as the distance is about 10.6km up/down slope. There is no proper toilet during the track. Have to time your walk as there is only 2 pick up time at Anchorage Beach back to Kaiteriteri. There is a "just cruise" if you are not into walking.
