Beautiful old house, friendly and helpful docents who are very knowledgeable about the house. Not a large house but it is well worth the stop.

Great day out exploring and the kids loved toasting marshmallows over the open fire. Staff and volunteers were really friendly and helpful. Food in the café was tasty and reasonably priced.

This is an interesting place to visit if it's raining as the gardens won't take much time to look around. Shame we couldn't walk straight into the churchyard.

As someone else has said, I think it is due to some of the items not being owned by the property. The photography issue regarding flash is valid but they usually say just don't use a flash.
