It is lovely to visit an old style pier that is well maintained. These are becoming few and far between and it is nice to see one so well maintained.

A trip along this pier is like taking a walk back in time. It is just simply a wooden and iron structure, taking you out into the North Sea, to enjoy the wonderful views, both out to sea and to the beaches north and south....More

Very well maintained pier which is certainly well loved by the community (or at least those of the knitting persuasion). Lots of seating allowing you to sit in and soak up the views while lazing with an ice-cream from a near by café - bliss!

After passing through the amusement arcade we were pleasantly surprised to find how nice the pier was. Clean and interesting due to a display of knitting on the railings. Apparently put there under the cover of darkness :)

A perfect hide away for the kids, with machines, prizes, a walk along the pier, look out to sea and have fun.

Enjoy walking the length of a remaining pier whilst you still can, nice views back to Saltburn and dogs allowed too, ideal way to make room for the fish and chips afterwards

The pier is set in the middle of the beach and provides a great view. It is good if you want to go crabbing or fishing too.

Does anyone know if the pier lights that were damaged in the storm in 2013 have been reinstalled now that the pier is fully open to the public once again? Many thanks Paul
