A truly beautiful waterfall site with swimming in the pools below, very cold. If you don't have your own transport catch a bus from Kalamata, takes an hour or so and drops you within about 25 minutes of the site. There are 2 cafes in this village and also more in the village 10 minutes from the falls. A great... More

Imagine strolling down a dirt road with the sun coaxing the olive groves and bergamot to life around you. You arrive into a cool gorge cut through the marble and limestone. Inside are innumerable blue pools and waterfalls, tiny yellow birds singing and flying all around. Polylimnio is an amazing place and a definite change of pace from your typical... More

We visited in early October 2016 when there was much evidence of storm damage and the path was difficult to navigate. Well with a visit and a plunge into the pool which was very cold!

Very very cold and deep pond in the middle of the forest, with a waterfall. A long hiking trail leads you there but it is worth it. Only by jumping in the water you can get in, because it is so cold, but very refreshing, especially in a hot summer day. Definitely worth a visit. Must be in good fitness... More

Get there early if you're going in the summer high season. We got there late morning and the place was heaving. The top pool was completely full so we went in a lower one. The water was beautiful and refreshing. Come with your swimming costume already on too as there isn't really anywhere to change in private.

Went in June of 2016 and the place was almost desolate so most of the time it was just my girlfriend and myself. You need to be able to hike and have good shoes because the falls are not easy to get too. I could see avalanches being a problem in certain conditions but when I was there it was... More

We visited in August, this place is very beautiful but incredibly dangerous. There are no security guards or Forrest Rangers on site. The day we visited there was rock falling as a result of rain with 1 fatality and casualties. Fire brigade and police arrived with delay as place is not near a big city and the gorge itself not... Nice hike to see the beautiful waterfalls. The path is not easy so you should be prepared to watch your step. But such a nice walk and atmosphere!
